The calcium carbonate particles used in breathable films typically have a diameter of less than ten microns and undergo strict modification. The more advanced the calcium carbonate powder, the harder it is to eliminate trace moisture during the grinding and storage processes. However, even trace amounts of moisture far exceed the permissible levels for the production process of breathable films. Drying can damage the shape of the particles, thereby affecting product quality. Only plastic desiccants can remove the moisture without impacting the product.
